Street dance 3D case study

  • Traditional advertising: print – posters, billboards, teaser campaigns on the London Underground; TV – trailers
Traditional advertisement
Traditional advertisement was used for Street Dance 3D. This is because digital advertisement was not very popular in 2010.

Street Dance 3D generically speaking is teenagers are the ones that are targeted to watch the film.
This is because on every piece of traditional advertisement has a teenager or someone who is of that age. The advertisement is also suggested to be for teenagers as on the advertisement clothes that teenagers may seem are cool are worn.

The film also targets people who like to street dance. This is because this is what the film is mainly about. Street dancers are on very piece of traditional advertisement. They are also doing some very cool dance moves on the advertisement. This could be used to attract a wider audience.

  • Digital: social media, websites. What social media platforms are there? How many followers? How many accounts?
Street dance 3D has a website. this website is done by the BBC films with production images a synopsis of the films and lots of news and views of it.

They don't have an Instagram account and twitter account this would be due to them being made in 2010 when the only Facebook was popular and the rest of social media was that big.

In the trailer of Street dance 3D, it advertised the movie as being a clashing of 2 different styles of dance with them finding a ballet so they would be able to have space to practice. This would appeal to the younger audience of teenagers or young adults as well as a mix of genders this would be due to how strong the romance in this movie is so females would enjoy that and the males would enjoy the street dance part of it.

  • Take screenshots of these items; analyse the key features; analyse components of trailers

This is rather basic - there should be much more analysis of the trailer, even if there's a lack of online advertising. Please add to this - very much unsatisfactory for over a full lesson's work.

    1. I have added in a paragraph about the trailer and what audience it would appeal to.
