Camera movement

-        Pan
-        Zoom in/ this shows how it has touched the people in the crowd/ the hosts and
-        Tracking shot
-        Zoom out

In the clip, there are multiple amounts of extreme close-ups used. This was done when she was explaining her story or when she was talking to the hosts as well as when she did her performance. This could suggest how important this is to her and shows how determined she is. The close could also suggest on how many people got memorised into listening to her and her lyrics It could show on how the audience and hosts lost all focuses on everything else apart from her on the stage pinpointing the main extreme close on stage is her and nothing else.

Another shot used in the clip was a crane shot from the back of the audience looking at the performance. This was also main done when she was singing as it would cut to a crane shot of her in the light and the audience in the dark. The use of the crane shot could suggest the magnitude of her performance and how everyone sat still and held the breath to watch it. It could also suggest how she is a little star that is starting to shine bright and is showing the way to everyone in the audience and how beautiful her lyrics are in the song. Altman's theory would support this as the visceral pleasure would have the audience feel a tear-jerking moment as she sings about something that is very important to her and she is in front of such a big audience and makes her all alone but still with so many people.

A camera movement that was used a lot during the clip was a zoom in. The zoom in was used throughout the whole of the clip from the start when she was explaining about why she wanted to sing in the middle when she was singing, and everyone was just watching her and at the end when the hosts were complimenting her and saying how good she was. In the middle of the clip, the camera moves to different people in the audience and hosts to show how the song has grabbed their attention and then zooms in very slowly to show that it has touched them in some way. Altman's theory would support this as the emotional pleasure would make the audience feel happy for her due to how important this is to her and the camera work makes it so as it zooms in.

  1. - yes you have you used the correct terminology and the accurate media terminology.
    - yes you have answered the question by explaining the different camera techniques.
    - yes a range of techniques have been used.
    - yes(ish) ideas are supported but only to a small extent
    - i would award you 9 marks at level 3 as you have met the criteria for level 3 but lacked the detail in justifying

WWW - met all the criteria
    WWW- used good examples

EBI - you justified in more detail
EBI - extend the detail and paragraphs

    1. If I want to jump a few marks then I would need to justify my self a lot more by adding in theory or giving a more detailed explanations.

You use Altman's pleasure here quite well. And there is also some terminology used to identify techniques. However, from a perspective of structure and content this is not Cambridge Technical standard.

I expect for this work to include three paragraphs, each focusing on a different one of the four technical aspects). Each paragraph should include two points laid out as follows:
    - Point (identify the technique)
    - Example (detailed description of the content of the technique - the denotation)
    - Explain (connotation, an explanation of meaning, with reference to the audience, genre, and/or representation).
Optional - explain using Altman's genre theory.

Finally, you need to address a range of technical aspects - not just camera.

Please make these changes asap in 3 new/improved paragraphs below.

Also, please leave a comment below as a reflection on feedback and explaining any changes you have made.
